When does Shashthi tithi begin and end?
Shashthi runs from 11:25 PM, Saturday, 14 November to 2:02 AM, Monday, 16 November (Indian time). A day takes the tithi in force at its sunrise, so the evening arghya is on the day Shashthi holds at sunrise.
How this is worked out: the positions of the Sun and Moon (astronomy-engine), one tithi for every 12° the Moon gains on the Sun; the evening arghya on the day Shashthi holds at sunrise; sunrise and sunset for your city. Local traditions can differ.
