How an online Chadhawa works
You choose the temple and the offering, and name the person it is for — their name and gotra, and the wish if there is one. On the day, a pujari at that temple performs the Sankalp aloud in that name and makes the offering on your behalf. You receive a photo, and on most tiers a video, of the offering being made.
This is not a substitute for going yourself. It is what families have always done when distance, health or work made the journey impossible — sending the offering ahead with someone who is going anyway.
